C.E. Díaz-Balaguer at Master Battery

  • Second-year Technology Baccalaureate students toured the Master Battery facilities to learn about the different types of batteries, their applications and the key role they play in the transition to renewable energy.

  • Juan Carlos Hernández, co-CEO of Master Battery, recommended that students train in energy storage in view of the growing demand for professionals that the sector will need to meet in the coming years.

Móstoles (Madrid), 4 March 2026. Second-year Science and Technology Baccalaureate students from the Díaz-Balaguer Study Centre visited Ciudadenergía and the Master Battery facilities as part of an educational day focused on the key role of energy storage in the development of renewable energies.

During the visit, they participated in a session held in the Agora Classroom, where they received an institutional welcome and learned about Master Battery's activities, as well as the innovation and development initiatives linked to the Master Battery Chair - Polytechnic University of Madrid.

This was followed by a video on climate change, which served as a starting point for reflecting on the importance of energy storage as a key element in improving the efficiency of solar energy and renewables as a whole.

#inteligenciaverde (green intelligence)

Juan Carlos Hernández, co-CEO of Master Battery, encouraged the students at Balaguer to focus their professional future on the energy sector, a field undergoing rapid transformation and with a growing demand for qualified talent. During his speech, he highlighted the strategic role that energy storage will play in the coming years and stressed the importance of new generations specialising in this key field for the development of renewable energies.

The group then began a tour of different areas of the complex, including the technology showroom, the green space, the solar roof of the corporate building and the specialised logistics area. During this practical part of the visit, they were able to observe solar panels, inverters, storage systems and equipment related to energy management, as well as understand the role of specialised logistics in the development and deployment of energy storage solutions.

The aim of the activity was to bring students closer to the reality of the energy sector and to awaken STEM vocations linked to engineering, technological innovation and sustainability, while reinforcing the commitment of Ciudadenergía and Master Battery to scientific dissemination and the training of future generations of professionals.
