  • The councillors, accompanied by the company's co-CEOs, visited the business area of the corporate building, its solar roof and the large training area, which includes a classroom of the Master Battery - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid Chair in storage research.

Móstoles (Madrid), 26 May 2025.- The mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, and the first deputy mayor and councillor for Economy, Industry and Employment, Ángeles García, visited the headquarters of Master Battery to learn about the general lines of its business growth plan, based on the project for battery factories and components for the accumulation of renewables.

The co-CEOs of Master Battery, Juan Carlos Hernández and Héctor Plaza, explained the battery production plans that would integrate the logistics area and the R&D&I department that will be linked to the company's training area. They agreed on the opportunity to promote this production speciality at a key moment for the energy transition and electromobility, as well as the relevance that this project would have for Móstoles and the Community of Madrid.

Sustainable environment, advanced production and specialised training

The visit started at the new green space of Master Battery, one of the highlights of the tour. The co-CEOs detailed the process of cleaning and transformation of the area, the recovery of the trees and vegetation together with the irrigation management. They also stressed that this environment reflects Master Battery's brand message and confirms its commitment to sustainability, environmental improvement and corporate social responsibility.

The tour of this green lung of the business complex included a strategic stop from which to observe the extent of the spaces destined for production, logistics and R&D&I, highlighting the benefits of its location and the excellent communications for industrial development and distribution.

The transformation of this area was aimed at improving the environment and landscape, becoming a symbol of the company's ESG action and providing an open space for the dissemination of solutions aimed at energy transition and storage.

Afterwards, the delegation went to the solar roof, where they received information about the characteristics of the battery cabinet developed by Master Battery. This system stores the solar energy generated by the panels and guarantees the building's energy autonomy. Thanks to this solution, the building operates without emissions and reinforces the company's commitment to the decarbonisation of its activity.

The visit continued in the training space which is one of the most important strategic lines for the development of the industrial specialisation of Master Battery. The councillors also learned about the activities of Ciudadenergía and its relationship with several institutes in Móstoles.

At the doors of the Master Battery - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid Chair, dedicated to research in energy storage and batteries, its objectives and main lines of work were presented. This Chair is based at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería y Diseño Industrial (ETSIDI) of the UPM, in Madrid.

Finally, in the business area, the co-CEOs reviewed the history and values of the company, underlined the extensive knowledge of the sector by the staff and reaffirmed their commitment to the Community of Madrid and the city of Móstoles. They also stressed the importance of the start-up of the battery factory, an event that will mark the evolution of Master Battery from a medium-sized company to a large company in the energy sector.
