  • Master Battery is reinforcing its commitment to the town of Móstoles following this agreement with the URJC.

Móstoles, July 2026. Master Battery and Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) have signed an educational cooperation agreement to facilitate external academic work placements, an initiative that will enable the university’s students to complete their training in a business environment linked to the energy transition, energy storage and sustainable technologies.

The agreement will enable students from various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes to take part in curricular and extracurricular work placement programmes at Master Battery, giving them a first-hand insight into the professional reality of the energy and technology sector. The agreement provides for the participation of students from fields such as Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration and Management, Marketing and Communication, as well as other courses related to innovation, sustainability and business management.

The collaboration will enable students to complement their academic knowledge with practical experience on projects linked to energy storage, renewable energy, energy efficiency, digitalisation and industrial innovation – strategic areas for the decarbonisation of the energy system.

For Juan Carlos Hernández, CEO of Master Battery and a member of the Social Council of Rey Juan Carlos University, this agreement represents “a further step in the shared commitment between the university and the company to train the professionals required by the new energy economy”. Hernández has emphasised the importance of students gaining first-hand insight into the technological and business challenges associated with the energy transition and the development of energy storage solutions.

Beyond the work placement programme, both organisations plan to explore new avenues of collaboration in areas such as knowledge transfer, the organisation of conferences and outreach activities, the involvement of professionals in training initiatives, the development of innovation projects, and the joint promotion of university talent in the field of energy technologies.

This agreement reinforces Master Battery’s commitment to training, innovation and talent development, an approach the company also promotes through Ciudadenergía and its collaboration with various academic and educational institutions.

Rey Juan Carlos University, for its part, continues to strengthen its links with the business and industrial sectors in order to enhance its students’ employability and provide training that is aligned with the real needs of the labour market and of the sectors that are strategic for society’s economic and technological future.
